Graveside Service for Beulah Pugh Dial, age 89, was held Monday, July 10, 2023 at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, AL with Pastor Thomas J. Rogers, Jr. officiating.
Beulah Pugh Dial was born October 13, 1933 but recorded as November 1, 1933 in McWilliams, AL to Johnnie William Pugh and Rosie Anderson Pugh. Her childhood years in McWilliams instilled in her a passion for loving and caring for family and the ability to work hard in the dry-cleaning service. She was a faithful member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL until her health began to fail and she was admitted to Willow Trace Nursing Facility in Butler, AL. She was later moved to Park Place in Pensacola, FL.
Beulah passed away in the Rehabilitation Center at Park Place in Pensacola, FL on July 3, 2023. She was preceded by her husband, James; siblings, Rosie Huff, Shelley Pugh, William Earl Pugh, Mary Blackmon, Willie James Pugh, Thelma Moore, and Jessie Pugh; a nephew whom she raised as her child, William E. Pugh; and a brother-in-law, Elijah Pugh.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Annie Benjamin, Shirley Arnold (Walter), Mattie Gross; three brothers, Johnny L. Pugh, Ray Charles Pugh, Alvin Eugene Pugh (Doretha); two nieces she raised as daughters, Veronica Barber (Victor) and Shirley Whitt (Marvin); three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Dial Wilson, Jackie A. Williams, Alice Dial; two brothers-in-law, Lee Blackmon, Fluker Miller; two nieces, Kathy and Sade; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service was rendered by Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Funeral Home of Butler.
