Daniel “Dan” Rodgers

Service for Daniel Rodgers were held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Millwood Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Johnson officiating.  Interment followed in Woodall Cemetery.

Daniel Rodgers was born December 8, 1932 in Choctaw County, AL to the late Charlie and Katie Mae Rodgers.  He entered eternal rest on October 19, 2022 in Cleveland, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Katie Mae Rodgers; his son, Charlie Rodgers; his brother, Joe Nathan Rodgers; and his sister, Theresia Smith.

Daniel moved to Cleveland, OH in 1953 and started a career in construction.  He retired after forty years of service.  He was known for working on cars and being a “jack of all trades.”  He enjoyed talking and being around family and friends.

Daniel leaves to cherish his loving memories: a special and devoted friend of 40 years, Mattie Tidmore, of Cleveland, OH; two children, Betty (Jesse) Holland of Pennington, AL, Michael (Taneshika) Reviere of Rossville, GA; fifteen grandchildren, Labarron (Juanesha) Holland, Dejuan Holland, Jesse M. (Jazzie) Holland, Bryan Hooker, Anthony Reviere, Charese Reviere Brewer, Aliese Reviere, Ryan Reviere, Alexis Reviere, Donte Reviere, Demetrius Reviere, Malika Reviere, Laverne Tidmore, Robert Tidmore, and Audrey Tidmore; one sister, Sarah (Seadford) Marzette; one brother, JP Rodgers; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tommy Keeton, Sr.

Service for Deacon Tommy Lee Keeton, Sr., age 67, was held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Wahalak Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Shern Collins officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Tommy Keeton, Sr. was born November 7, 1954 to the late Aaron and Lorene Keeton.  He was called home to rest from all his labor on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Lorene Keeton; daughter, Anitra Adams; and three brothers, James Keeton, Larry Keeton and Leon Keeton.

Tommy attended Choctaw County Training School  in Lisman, AL and graduated from Choctaw County High School in Butler, AL.  After graduation, he attended Selma University and later transferred to Stillman College. Where he graduated in 1977 with a B.S. in Social Studies and Physical Education

Tommy coached football at various schools for many years.  After coaching, he worked for Georgia Pacific for 25 years.

Two sons, Tommy (Desiree) Keeton, Houston, TX and Chris (Shanta) Keeton, Butler, AL; seven grandchildren, Isaiah, Icianna, Jonathan, Roshad, Christian, Lilah, and Janeice; one sister, Maranda (Dr. Alex) Coleman, Butler, AL; one brother, Jeff (Diahan) Keeton, Butler, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
