Graveside Service for Bro. Colie B. (Ben) Roberts, age 79, was held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Siloh C.M.E. Church Cemetery with Bishop Johnny Payton officiating.
Bro. Colie B. Roberts was born on December 24, 1942 to the late Bro. Jefferson and Sis. Mary Jean Slay Roberts. He entered eternal rest on August 2, 2022 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Mary Jean Roberts; three brothers, Vergie Slay, Lurie J. Roberts, and Joe L. Roberts; and two sisters, Catherine R. House and Audrey M. Roberts.
Bro. Colie confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Shiloh C.M.E. Church where he served and continued to support it faithfully.
Bro. Colie was an avid traveler and after graduation, he ventured out to Florida, Los Angeles, CA, Ann Arbor, MI, Spring Valley, NY, and later returned home to Lisman. During his travels, he worked faithfully and retired from Sears. After returning to Lisman, he started his own carpet cleaning business, “C.B Roberts Carper & Upholstery Cleaning Service”.
Bro. Colie B. Roberts leaves to cherish his precious memories: his brother, Willie Fred (Joyce) Roberts of Birmingham, AL; four sisters, Minnie and Anna J. Roberts of Lisman, AL, Estella and Maggie Roberts of Marietta, GA; one sister-in-law, Hattie Roberts of Lisman, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
