Funeral Service for Mother Edna Lee Williams, age 73, was held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 12:00pm at New Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in Nanafalia, AL with Pastor Kelvin Johnson officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Edna Lee Williams was born May 10, 1950 to the late Sister Mamie Sue Williams in Marengo County, AL.  She was born as a twin with a brother named Eddie Lee.  She ended her journey in this life on Sunday, December 17, 2023 as she entered eternal rest with the Lord.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Sue Williams; a daughter, Sandra Williams; sisters, Linnie Earl, Carrie Bell Johnson, Mamie Sue Williams, Sharon Douglas and Gwendolyn Ruffin; and brothers, Roosevelt Wiley, Joseph Williams and James Williams.

Edna was raised in the Nanafalia community.  She confessed Christ and was baptized as a child at New Mt. Mariah Baptist Church.  There she attended until her health declined.  Her giving and sharing spirit were her greatest assets.  Everyone knew she would give her last to anyone whenever it was needed.  Additionally, she worked for some of the residents in the Nanafalia community.  After the death of her eldest daughter, she raised three grandchildren as her own.

Edna leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Terrence (Tonya) Williams of Pennington, AL; one daughter, Tanya Renee Williams of Nanafalia, AL; three grandsons, Anthony Williams and Damarquis Williams of Nanafalia, AL, Ladarius Williams of Augusta, GA; a granddaughter, Temya Williams; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Williams and Eva (Alfred) Pritchett; two brothers, Cleophas Washington and W.L. Washington; one sister-in-love, Katherine Wiley; one brother-in-love, Wils Johnson;  and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and dear friends.

Service for Bro. Willie D. Ford was held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00am at Salem Baptist Church in Butler, AL with Rev. Aquilla Pack officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bro. Willie Ford was born January 27, 1944 to the late Bro. John B. and Sis. Macie Ford McRae (TJ McRae, stepfather).  He departed this life on December 6, 2023 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.  He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynette Ford; four brothers; and three sisters.

Willie confessed Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  He later remarried Lillie Davis and joined Salem Baptist Church in Butler, AL.  To this union, one child was born, Lynette Ford. 

Bro. Willie leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Lillie Ford; two devoted stepsons, Jerome Davis, Butler, AL and Tyrone Davis, Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Myeisha Ford, Buford, GA, LaMarius Ford, Altoona, PA, and Darylesha Bush, Birmingham, AL; eight great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 1 step great grandson; four sisters, Mary (Ron) Everett, Earnestine (William) Brown, Shirley (Isaaac) Johnson, and Lovell (Preston) Buchanon; five sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
