Sammie C. Youngblood

Graveside Service for Sammie C. Youngblood, age 56, was held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00pm at Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. A.L. Smith officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Sammie Youngblood was born on November 12, 1964 to the late Frank and Clara Youngblood in Polkville, MS.  He was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021.   He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Robinson; parents, Frank and Clara Youngblood; and two sisters, Daisy Youngblood, Patsy Floyd.

Sammie was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Pulaski, MS.  He was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Jinell Brown.  They were married for more than 25 years.

He was an employee at the poultry plant in Forest, MS for many years until his health began to fail in 2019.

Sammie leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Jinell Youngblood of Butler, AL; two daughters, Makyah Youngblood of Butler, AL and Latoya Robinson of Newton, MS; one son, Jason (Christy) Robinson of Pulaski, MS; thirteen grandchildren; two godchildren, Jayda and Triston Brown; on sister, Carolyn Youngblood; two brothers, Robert (Angela) Youngblood and Eddie (Danelle) Youngblood; two aunts, Lucy McNair; and Leola Lovette; one uncle, John Meyer, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Gail Brown; five brothers-in-law, Donald Brown, Gregory (Tomika) Brown, Tony Brown, Keith (Bernice) Brown, Alton Floyd; two devoted nephews, Keandre and Paki Brown; one devoted friend, Leonard Doss; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, former co-workers, and friends.
