Graveside Service for Carlos Turner, Sr. was held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 12:00pm at Fairview Baptist Church in Butler, AL with James H. Studdard, Sr. serving as Master of Ceremony.

Carlos Sr. was born on May 23, 1968 to the late Voncile Turner Mitchell and Thomas Watson.  He departed this earth to receive his heavenly wings on Monday, May 24, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Willie Wiley Turner and Carrie Lee Turner, Kelly Watson and Charlie Mae Rodgers and father-in-law, Frank Franklin, Jr

Carlos Sr. attended Choctaw County High School.  He was employed by Huntington Ingalls as a Welder Foreman.  He was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved.

Carlos Sr. leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 18 years, Tayna Franklin-Turner; five children, Anthony Deon Williams (Leslie), of Putnam, AL, TiKhara Turner-Gonzalez (Ernest) of Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA, Carlos Turner Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL, Ricardos Turner, Sr. of Destin, FL; Cartez Turner, Sr. of Marietta, GA; one step-daughter, Nikitia Warren-Busby (Joe) of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Morgan Turner (Shanesha) and Deon Mitchell, both of Meridian, MS; one sister, Pamela Eason (Raymond) of Meridian, MS; three step-brothers, Markell Goodwin of Birmingham, AL, Demond Watson of West Palm Beach, FL, Morris Watson of Butler, AL ; two step-sisters, Danielle Goodwin of West Palm Beach, FL, Shannon Watson of Denver, CO; a step-mother, Emma Jean Watson, of Butler, AL; five grandsons, Elijah Williams, Taavi Warren, Ricardos Turner, Jr., Markel Turner, Cartez Turner, Jr.: six granddaughters, Taylor Turner, Ava Gonzalez, Taraji Turner, Eva Gonzalez, Andrea Davis, Journey Abrams;  four step-grandsons, Nicholas Dale, Jacob Dixon, Keyon Thomas, Zaire Busby; three step-granddaughters, Keyonna Thomas, Jayla Dixon, Zoe Busby; a mother-in-law, Joyce Franklin of Meridian, MS; one life-long friend, James Thompson, of Rochester, MN; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service for Adell DuBose, age 83, was held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Woodall Cemetery in Pennington, AL with Floyd Hunter serving as Guest Speaker.

Adell was born on August 12, 1937 to the late Ludie and Irene Spraggins.  She passed away on May 17, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Prince DuBose, Jr. and two sons, Leon DuBose and Michael Angelo DuBose.

Adell leaves to cherish her memory: children, Calvin (Angela) DuBose of Bronx, NY, Gladys Amerson of Tuscaloosa, AL, Delois (Julius) Scott of Demopolis, AL, Lecia (Reuben) Ray of Pennington, AL, Ellen (Husain) Shaheed of Marietta, GA, Lakesha DuBose of Bronx, NY; siblings, Howard Spraggins, Ludie Spraggins, Jr., Jessie Sturdivant, Debbie McBride; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
