Jerry Tanks, Jr.

Graveside Service for Jerry Tanks, Jr., age 73, was held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00am at Fairfield CME Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Taylor officiating.

Jerry was born on December 20, 1949 to Jeremiah and Maeola Tanks in Land, AL.  He departed this earthly life on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Jeff Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeremiah and Maeola Tanks; one brother, Jimmy Tanks; and one sister, Shirley Moore.

Jerry worked twenty years for E&H Wood Yard.  After retirement, he continued to work another 15 years for McElroy Trucking Company.  Whenever he was around, he made sure his presence was known with continued laughter and making sure everyone had what they needed.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Bryant Tanks; four children, Teresa (Billy) Ezell of Semmes, AL, John (Erica) Tanks of Warrior, AL, Alicia Rodgers of McCalla, AL, Gary Tanks of Montgomery, AL; two special sons-in-law, Carliss Holley, James Rodgers; three grandchildren, DeAndre Holley, Jonderic Tanks, Azia Tanks; one sister, Olivia Tanks of Halsell, AL; three brothers, Willie Dee (Olester) Tanks of Halsell, AL, Thomas (Martha) Tanks of Miami, FL, Sam Tanks of Chicago, IL; and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends.

Ethel M. Mosley

Graveside Service for Ethel M. Mosley, age 80, was held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12:00pm at Salem Baptist Church in Butler, AL with Rev. Luther Edwards officiating.

Ethel was born on August 30, 1940 to Douglas Moss and Susie Davis Ellison in Butler, Al.  She departed this life on January 31, 22021 in Huntsville, AL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Moss, Susie Davis Ellison; a brother, Robert Lee Ellison; and her husband, Benjamin (BH) Mosley.

Ethel worked as a Nursing Assistant at Choctaw General Hospital for many years.  In 1974, she moved her family to Huntsville, AL and continued working as a Nursing Assistant for Dr. Moss.  She also worked as a housekeeper for many families.

Ethel leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Beanie (Barbara) Moss, Billy Mosley, Bonnie (William) Smith, Charlotte (Bernadette) Moss, Lawanda Mosley; six grandchildren, Andrea Pierre, Beanie (BJ) Moss, Jr., Sharmeka Moss-Branch, Micheryl Edwards, Jacobi Rice, Trent Roberts; four great grandchildren, Aerial Archibald, Kylia Norwood, Adriana Pierre, Kailey Norwood; one sister, Shirley Minor; two nieces, Tiffany Fryer, Moncita Minor; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
