Service for Bro. Zollie (Billy) Jackson, age 84, was held Monday, January 24, 2022 at St. John CME Church in Butler, AL with Rev. Hazel Dickinson officiating.

Bro. Zollie Jackson was born the third of nine children to the union of Rev. Charlie Lee Jackson and Sis. Julia G. Woodard Jackson on December 25, 1937. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Charlie and Julia Jackson; a son, Zollie Jackson Jr; brothers, Grady Ruffin, Willie Jackson, Johnnie Jackson, Dellis Jackson, James Jackson; and sisters, Mattie Larkin Scott, Emma Jackson.

Bro. Zollie was a 1956 graduate of Choctaw County Training School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from May 1956 until he was honorably discharged in 1959. While in the army, he received training in Structural Engineering. He later moved to Niagara Falls, NY where he used his army training to acquire a job at General Motors. He remained there for over 30 years until his retirement.
Zollie returned home to Alabama after retirement where he renewed his love for hunting and fishing.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife of 36 years, Annie Jackson of Montgomery, AL; his second wife, Geraldine Jackson and their son, Tone'y (Shetice) Jackson of Niagara Falls, NY; his first wife Polly Jackson and their daughter, Lisa Black, also of Niagara Falls, NY; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlie Mae Tyson, Pinkie Kennedy, both of Butler, AL; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
