Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Funeral Home acknowledges the passing of Mr. Willie C. Law, 72, of Ward, AL. Mr. Law departed this earthly life on September 27, 2023 surrounded by his family in Chelsea, AL.

Service for Mr. Law will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church in Ward, AL with Pastor Linda Sims-Lilly officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Willie C. Law, known to family & friends as "Lawman", was born October 9th, 1950 to the late Prince Law & Susie McCray in Butler, AL. He departed this earthly life on September 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents: Prince Law & Susie McCray; children, Marcella Chess, Monica Ruffin, & Willie Harris; and sisters, Louise Chess & Emma President.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving, devoted wife, Jearldine Chess Law of Ward, AL; daughters, Aretha (Greg) Bryant of Chelsea, AL & Beverly Dubose (Charles Moss) of Meridian, MS; son, David (Tracy) Harris of Mosinee, WI; grandsons, D'Jon Bryant, D' Airreuis Philon, Gabriel Ruffin, Dominique Harris & Will Harris; granddaughters, LaQuandra Harris, Lakeisha McGrew, Shantarica Harris, Breanna Dubose, & Kayla Harris; great-grandchildren, Kinsleigh Bryant, Skylar McGrew, Karter McGrew, Zion Whitman, Zahmir Whitman, Bryce Dubose, Ella Harris, Ben Harris & Sophie Harris; sisters, Leona Coleman, Ora Harris, Eva Chess, Marjorie Witherspoon & Velma McCray; brothers, Prince Law, Victor Law & Harvey McCray; brothers-in-law, Bobby Chess, Willie Chess, Richard Chess, Kelvin Chess, & Marvin Chess; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and others in the logging business.
