Graveside Service for Wesley Albert Powe, age 86, was held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Powe Cemetery in Silas, AL with Bishop Lesley Powe officiating.

Deacon Wesley Powe was born on November 26, 1934 to the late Dan and Georgia (Bend) Powe in Silas, AL. He departed this life on March 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Attlee Philon Powe; and two children, Wesley Powe and Winnie Nicholson.

Wesley accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of C&J Holiness Church in Silas, AL where he served as
Deacon. He was united in holy matrimony to Attlee Philon Powe and to this union five children were born. After the death of his wife, Attlee, he later married Juanita Thompson and became the father of six stepchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren.

Wesley leaves to cherish his memories: three children, Luvenia (Griffin) McMillian, Bishop Lesley (Carolyn) Powe, both of Silas, AL, Mae Lee (Calvin) West III of Gilbertown, AL; six grandchildren, Brian (Mukida) McMillian, Latasha (Bobby) Jones, Marcus (Raven) West, Eric (Krystal) West, DeAnthony (Mary) Nicholson, LaKeisha Powe; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Leo (Dorothy) Powe; two sisters, Georgia Powe, Ruby Philon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
