Graveside Service forbWalter L. Williams, Sr., age 93, was held Friday, March 12, 2021 at Woodall Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Johnson officiating.

Walter L. Williams, Sr. was born May 14, 1927 to the late Donald and Gussie Williams. He departed this earthly life on March 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lee Dukes Williams; a son, Willie James Tillman; two daughters, Bobbie J. Dees, Irma J. Rodgers; his parents, Donald, Sr. and Gussie Williams; and three brothers, Howard, Simmie and Donald Williams, Jr.

Walter accepted Christ at an early age. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII from 1945-1945, between France and Germany.

Walter leaves to cherish his memories: five daughters, Bernice (Bobby) Jones of West Memphis, AK, Vernice (Jeremiah) Ward of Yantley, AL, Juanita (Billie) Watson of Collinsville, MS, Sharon (Ronnie) Barron of Butler, AL, Barbara (Mark) Trenier of Mobile, AL; six sons, Hersey Williams of Ocala, FL, Walter Williams, Jr., Jerry (Belinda) Williams, both of Choctaw, AL, Donnie (Toni) Williams of Harrison Township, MI, Ronnie (Cindy) Williams of Forest, MS, Carl (Tracey) Chaney of Pennington, AL; 42 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; several great- great grandchildren; a devoted son-in-law, James Rodgers; two brothers-in-law, Coley Dukes, Lee Andrew (Gladys) Dukes; a devoted niece, Teresia Williams Cherry; several special nieces, nephews, grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
