for Bro. Verdie Lee Coleman, Jr., age 71, was held Saturday, January 8, 2022 at
Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Yantley, AL with Rev. Robert L. Webb
officiating. Interment followed in Mt.
Mariah Baptist Church Cemetery in Yantley, AL.

Verdie was born on March 9, 1950 to the late Verdie Lee Coleman, Sr. and Zeola
Bryant Johnson (Collie) of Lisman, AL.
He departed this earthly life on January 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father,
Verdie Lee Coleman, Sr.; mother, Zeola Bryant Johnson; stepfather, Collie
Johnson; grandparents; and three siblings, Mildred Coleman Jackson, Charles
Dean Coleman, and Ronnie Coleman.

Verdie
accepted Christ at an early age and joined John the Baptist Church. He later joined Christian Fellowship Baptist
Church where he remained until his death.
He was employed by Atlas Roofing Corporation for many years and
continued to work after retirement.

He
is survived by five children: Adrienne V. Coleman, Felicia Michelle Reed,
Veranda Lekeshia (John) Willard, Vernito LekendraColeman, Verdie Lee Coleman
III; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Eloise
Wright of Cleveland, OH, Tina Turner of Huntsville, AL, Rev Virgie (Jake)
McNair of Lisman, AL; one brother, Victor (Carol) Jackson of Lisman, AL;
and host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
and friends.
