Funeral Service for Tony R. Hives, age 55, was held Saturday, February 17, 2024 @ 12:00 pm at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Needham, AL with Rev. Cleo McGrew officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Tony R. Hives was born September 23, 1968 to Pearline Hives and Clayton Nicholson. He departed this earthly life on February 11, 2024 at his home.

Tony was a life-long resident of Needham, AL. He attended Gilbertown Junior High School and graduated from Southern Choctaw High School. He loved the outdoors and was known to sit outdoors in his chair drinking coffee with the radio playing or taking daily walks. Tony was a kind and compassionate man to all in his community. He was the type of man who would help you do almost anything if he could.

Tony is survived by his father, Clayton (Dorothy Gean) Nicholson; sisters, Loretta Hives of Needham, AL, Nickie (James) Presley of Gautier, MS, Regina Mason of Carmicheal, MS, Miranda (Terence) McCarty of Needham, AL; brothers, James Hives of Mobile, AL, Darren (Therwanda) Kirksey of Mathersville, MS, Daniel (Nicole) Clark of Carmicheal, MS, and Clayton Nicholson, Jr. of Needham, AL.
