Celebration of Life Service for Shondre'ka Nicole Deas were held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 – 11 am, at First Baptist Church, 254 McConnell Street, York, Alabama with Pastor Jonathan Byrd, Officiating. Interment, Ward Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery, 8541 Pine Grove Road, Ward, Alabama.

Shondre`ka Nicole Deas was born on July 23, 2001, to the late Taheshia Tanyelle Deas and LeMarvin Portis.

She entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2023 at University of Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama.

"Dreka" grew up in Jachin, Alabama. She was a graduate of Choctaw County High School Class of 2019. At the time of her demise, she was employed with Sam's Club of Meridian, Mississippi.

"Dreka" leaves to cherish her memory: her father, LeMarvin Portis of Ward, Alabama; one sister, Lashanti Deas, and one brother, Antonio Latreal Deas, both of Ward, Alabama; her grandparents, Maggie Dees and Winston Dubose, Jr. of Ward, Alabama; Margaret and Thomas Chaney of Ward, Alabama; her great-grandmother, Leola Portis of Ward, Alabama; two aunts, Kanesha Portis of Ward, Alabama and Ingall Cunningham of Ward, Alabama; two devoted great aunts, Mary (Dennis) Artis of York, Alabama and Gracie (Will) Gordon of Jackson, Mississippi; special friend, Jonathan "JD" Ruffin; a host of cousins, relatives, and many friends.
