Funeral Service for Shamarquis Anton McCorkle was held on Saturday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Northside Church of Christ, 1022 North Mulberry Avenue, Butler, Alabama.  Minister Jerome Barnes, Officiating.  Interment, Northside Church of Christ Cemetery, Butler, Alabama.

Shamarquis A. McCorkle (Marc) was born July 3, 1982, to Vicky Whitted and Stacey McCorkle. Shamarquis suddenly departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

He was baptized during his teenage years and was added to Northside Church of Christ, Butler, Alabama.  He graduated from Choctaw County High School, Butler, Alabama in the year of 2000.  Marc was an Independent Truck Driver.  He loved his family, and his children were everything to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Otis and Marie McCorkle; four (4) uncles: Charles McCorkle, Ronnie McCorkle, Travis McCorkle, and Gary Whitted.

Shamarquis leaves to cherish his precious memories to his loving mother and father: Vickey Whitted and Stacey (Linda) McCorkle; his three (3) children: Shamyja, Alana, and Travis McCorkle; one (1) brother: Stacey McCorkle, Jr., Houston, Texas; three (3) sisters: Shaquentia McCorkle (Jay Brazzle), Meridian, Mississippi; Ke'Amber McCorkle, York, Alabama and Jamia McCorkle, Killeen, Texas; four (4) uncles: Donald McCorkle, Corpus Christi, Texas; Billy McCorkle, Columbus, Georgia; Jay (Cynthia), Houston, Texas; Patrick Whitted (Marci), Charlotte, North Carolina; Willie Whitted III, Butler, Alabama; six (6) aunts: Rosemary (Edward) Brown, Savannah, Georgia; Margaret and Ossie McCorkle, York, Alabama; Lisa and Toni McCorkle, Meridian, Mississippi; Kimberly McCorkle, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; loving and supportive grandparents: Willie Whitted, Jr. and Mary Francis Whitted, Butler, Alabama; two (2) nieces, three (3) nephews, along with a host of loving and devoted cousins, many other relatives and several close friends.
