Funeral Service for Sister Ruby Lee Rodgers, age 80, will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Salem Baptist Church in Butler, AL with Rev. Aquilla Pack officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4:00-6:00pm at Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Funeral Home.

Ruby Lee Rodgers was born January 22, 1943 in Butler, AL to the late Ola Moss and John Moss. She was the oldest of three children born to this union.

Ruby loved the Lord and confessed her faith at an early age and became a member of Salem Baptist Church where she faithfully served until her health began to fail. The Lord called her home on April 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ola Moss; her husband, Henry Rodgers; and a son, Kenneth Rodgers.

Ruby was united in Holy Matrimony to Henry Rodgers. To this union, four children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, John (Quietha) Rodgers of Lisman, AL, Darren (JoAnna) Rodgers and Jonathan Rodgers, both of Butler, AL; five grandchildren who proudly called her "Granny", Omar Wilson, Damiano (Tineka) Rodgers, John Jr. (Cassandra) Rodgers, Dareilia Rodgers, and Trenton (Jessica) Rodgers; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Bennie (Ethel) Moss; one sister, Ruth Ridgeway, both of Butler, AL; one sister-in-law, Willie Mae Rodgers of Jackson, MS; two special friends, James Tyson and Regina Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
