Graveside Service for Ronald E. Ruffin, Sr., age 60, was held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Viverette officiating.

Ronald Edward Ruffin, Sr., affectionately known as Ronnie, was worn February 13, 1961 to the late Odessa Koen and Lonnie T. Norris, Sr. He departed this earthly life on January 7, 2022 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Norris, Sr; mother, Odessa Koen; brothers, Keith Land, Lonnie Norris, Jr.; sister Helen Norris; and grandmother, Waddie Ruffin.

Ronnie was employed with Kelly Woodyard and B.C. Rodgers Chicken Plant until he became disabled.

He leaves to cherish his memori9es: four children, Malik Gordon (NaKeem) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jeran Ruffin (Brittney), Ronald Ruffin, Jr., (Narsheka), Aaliyah Ruffin (Cooper), all of Omaha, NE; one godson, Julius Kirksey of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Aiden Ruffin, Jeran Ruffin, Jr., Ari'anna Ruffin, Tyanna Ruffin, all of Omaha, NE, Karter Hinton of Tuscaloosa, AL; six sisters, Lisa Ramsey, Patsey Ramsey,
Bertha Curtis (Ronnie), Phyllis Alford, all of Meridian, MS; Angela Land of Lisman, AL, JoAnne Koen of Butler, AL; three brothers Eddie Joe Koen of Kasson, MN, Michael Land, Brent Koen, both of Lisman, AL; two aunts, Betty O'Field, Olessa Tanks, both of Lisman, AL; a special friend of 28 years, Roshell Horton of Rochester, MN; and many other relatives and friends.
