Funeral Services for Ronald Gaines, Sr. were held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Butler Chapel AME Zion Church with Pastor Kennith Jefferson officiating.  Internment followed in the church cemetery.

Ronald Gaines, Sr. was born July 19, 1960 to tommie Gaines and Mary Agnes Whitted Gaines. He departed this earthly life on January 24, 2025.

Ronald accepted Christ at an early age. After graduation from high school, he continued in his father's legacy of carpentry and construction. He was employed at Service Tech for many years until his health no longer allowed it.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memories: two children, Katrina Edwards and Ronald Gaines, Jr.; his mother, Mary Agnes Gaines; four siblings, Cindy (Thaddeus) Carter, Lorie (Ervin) Ryans, Christopher (Terri) Gaines Darryl (Mary Jane) Gaines and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
