Brother Randy O'Neal Evans was born August 17, 1973, to the late Jerry and Creola Evans. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Randy transitioned to his new life. He was preceded in death by both parents; his sisters, Jerry D. Williams, Mattie Riley, Gloria J. Evans (New York) and Gloria J. Evans (Thomasville), Verna Mae Taylor and Alexis Wilcox; one brother, Marshall Thompson; and a stepson, Omar Booker.
Randy grew up in Choctaw County, Alabama. After receiving his education at the Choctaw County High School in Butler, Alabama, he then moved to Gadsden, Alabama, where he lived and worked at Koch Foods of Gadsden as a Forklift Operator for nearly 30 years. Randy loved his music and sports.
Randy leaves to cherish his precious memories: his son, Randy Evans, Jr.; his grandson, Namari Evans; goddaughter, Zariyah Sheppard, all of Gadsden, Alabama; his sisters, Jessie M. Evans (Byron) of Pennington, AL, Ruby Moss of Bellamy, AL, Leatha Evans (Eddie) of Lorain, OH, Wilma E. Williams (Garland) of Elyria, OH; Debra Thompson of Lisman, AL; his brothers, Jesse L. Evans of Pennington, AL; Woodie Evans of Lorain, OH; Derry Jackson (Ledo) of Inkster, MI, Pastor Charles (Lucille) Williams of Oak Park, MI, Eddie Lee (Catherine) Williams of Lillian, AL, David Coleman of Huntsville, AL; his stepfather, Coley Dukes of Pennington, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
