Service for Naomi Doss, age 64, was held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 12 noon at Thompkinville A.M.E. Zion Church in Pennington, AL with Rev. Samuel Davis officiating. Interment followed in James Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery in Myrtlewood, AL.

Naomi Doss was born on December 6, 1958 in Myrtlewood, AL. She departed this earthly life on May 25, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Pearl Doss and two brothers, Ira Lee Doss, Sr. and Harold Doss.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her stepfather, Robert Lee Bryant, of Jachin, AL; three sisters, Georgia Mae Dixon, Nora Lee Cade, Babette Lynn Doss, all of Pennington, AL; one brother, Leonard Doss of Pennington, AL; five children, Eddie (Dorian) Doss of St. Louis, MO, Darry (Mariah) Doss of Fort Mitchell, AL, Jessica (Roger) Melton of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lovelle Maurice Rodgers of Biloxi, MS, Terrance (Tamia) Doss of Savannah, GA; eleven grandchildren, Emelia, Lydia, Khi, Kacen, Lauren, Roger III (deceased), Jeremiah, Shakayla, Isabella, Ian, Tyla; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
