Funeral Service for Maxine Arlene were held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church, 979 Sandy Cut Road, Butler, Alabama at 11 a.m. with Pastor Aquilla Pack, Officiating.  Interment, Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Butler, Alabama

Maxine Arlene was born February 2, 1960, to the late Nazarie Mitchell and Mattie Mitchell.

Maxine confessed Christ at an early age and joined Salem Baptist Church where she served faithfully until she moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Maxine graduated from Choctaw County High School of Butler, Alabama in 1979.  She sang with the Golden Bells of Butler, Alabama for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Arlene, and seven (7) brothers.

Maxine departed her earthly home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her siblings, Willie Mitchell, Albert Mitchell (Patricia), Michael Mitchell, Martha Davis, Frances Whitted, and Irene Williams; a close friend, Edward Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
