Service for Mary Ann Dees Lake, age 64, was held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Jachin, AL with Rev. Dr. AL Smith officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Sister Mary Ann Dees Lake was born on February 20, 1958 to the late Lizzie B. O'Field Dees and Frank Dees. She entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lizzie B and Frank Dees; one son, Doc LaKendrick Dees; three brothers, Jimmie, Clarence, and Evan; and one sister, Frankie B.

Mary grew up in Jachin, AL. She worked at Vanity Fair Mills, Inc. in Butler, AL. She was married to Rev. Dock Lake, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Rev. Dock Lake, Jr. of Ward, AL; two daughters, Ecstasy Dees and Ashley Dees, both of Ward, AL; three grandchildren, Jaliyah Williams, Markarious Dixon, Jr. and Calice Beal; one great grandchild, Kaizah (WeeWee) Williams; three sisters, Mary Artis (Dennis) of York, AL, Gracie Gordon (Willie) of Jackson, MS and Maggie Dees (Winston, Jr.) of Ward, AL; two brothers, Frank Dees, Jr. (Jackie) of Meridian, MS and Maurice Dees (Sonya) of Boston, MA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
