The Celebration of Life Service for Sis. Lula Faye Ruffin, age 67, was held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Austin J. Young serving as Eulogist. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Sis. Lula Faye Ruffin was born on November 17, 1954 to the late Fred Ruffin, Sr. and Lucille Ruffin. She entered eternal rest on August 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Sr. and Lucille Ruffin; a sister, Irene Blakely; a brother, Fred Ruffin, Jr.; and two nephews, Fred Blakley Jr. and JaMarcus Blakley.
Affectionately known as Faye, she attended Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church since childhood. Faye was a 1973 graduate of Choctaw County High School. She was a quiet person with a loving heart. She helped to raise her nieces and nephews whom she loved. She lived mostly in Choctaw County but also lived in Prichard, AL.
Faye leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Jasmine Ruffin and grandson, Isaiah Ruffin of Lisman, AL; two brothers, Rodie (Edith) Ruffin of Monroeville, AL, James Ruffin of Mobile, AL; one devoted sister, Rose (Ernest) Ross; brother-in-law, Fred Blakley, Sr., both of Lisman, AL; sister-in-law, Doris Ruffin of Cincinnati OH; two special cousins who she talked to every day, Earnestine Crump and Leona Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
