Celebration Service for Loraine Wallace, age 79, was held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary United Methodist Church in Butler, AL with Rev. Willie Vines officiating. Interment followed in Red House Memoria Gardens in Lavaca, AL.

Sister Loraine was born on March 19, 1943 to Uberta and Margie Morgan Ridgeway in Lavaca, AL. She transitioned from this earthly life on May 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by Connie Ridgeway, Henry Ridgeway, Latte Ridgeway, Clarence Ridgeway, Annie Ruth
Ridgeway Hampton, Albert Ridgeway, Louise Ridgeway Johnson, Clinton Ridgeway, and Johnnie Dale Ridgeway Lockett.

Loraine was united innmarriage to Johnny Wallace of Little Walker, AL. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Mobile, AL for a while before moving to Milwaukee, WI where they remained for 15 years. In 1981, they returned to Lavaca where she remained until her death.

Loraine leaves to cherish her memories: a loving husband, Johnny Wallace; two sons, Shaffanie "Shep" (Ataya) Wallace of Montgomery, AL, Eddie (Teresa) Johnson of Elyria, OH; seven grandchildren, Tearris, Aaron and Kyra Wallace, Xavier, Brandon, Steven, Devin Johnson; siblings, Bernice Ridgeway, Bobby (Mary) Ridgeway, Patricia (Eddie) Chess, all of Lavaca, AL, Gladys Ridgeway of Meridian, MS; brothers-in-law, Wiley Johnson, Frank (Betty) Wallace, Jesse Wallace; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
