Funeral Services for Linford Holland, Jr were held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Millwood Primitive Baptist Church, 2185 Old Locke Rd, Pennington, Alabama.
Linford Holland, Jr. "Frog" was born in Pennington, Alabama on December 2, 1948, the oldest of thirteen children. He passed away on October 21, 2025 surrounded by family.
Linford was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Pogue; sister, Shirley Ann Capers; and brothers, Jerry Holland, Jimmy Holland, Walter Potter, and Tommy Pogue.
From an early age, Linford showed a strong work ethic, a sharp mind, and a passion for building and creating. He worked for many years in construction and home renovations. He retired from J R & D where he proudly dedicated his skills and time. A talented painter and true handyman, he could fix just about anything and took great pride in his work.
Linford moved to Delaware as a young man, where he met the love of his life, Anastasia. The two married on January 16, sharing 55 years together. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend ~ a man who loved and gave selfishly. A homebody, he expressed his love thru foof. He enjoyed cooking a hearty, home-cooked meals almost every day. He also enjoyed fishing, football, and cheering on his favorite teams.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Anastasia; his children, Linford Holland, III, Alicia "Nykki" Limberry (Chaunteak), James Holland (Kimberly), Alexander Holland, Michael Holland, Jason Holland (Bridget), Michelle Lewis (Timothy), Nichelle Orr (Luke) and Lanetta Hurt; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is also survived by his siblings, Jesse Holland (Betty), Larry Pogue, Arthur Pogue (Vicki), Sandra Faye Chaney (Roy), Annette Cashaw (William III), Jonathan Pogue and Anthony J. Pogue.
