Funeral Service for Larry James Powe were held on Saturday, May 19, 2023 at Church of God Deliverance in Collumburg, AL with Bishop Willie Roberts, Officiating. Interment, Powe Cemetery, Silas, AL.
Larry James Powe was born July 16, 1955 to the late Daniel and Ella Mae Powe in Gilbertown, Alabama. He departed this life on Friday, May 12, 2023.
He was united in marriage to Andrea Powe. To this union three kids were born.
He was saved in the Church of God in Christ, Gilbertown, Alabama and later joined the Church of God Deliverance, Collumburg, Alabama, under Bishop W.L. McNeal. His last residing church was The Living Church of God Pentecostal, Overseer Nash Henderson, residing pastor.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Andrea Powe; two (2) devoted daughters, Tanjaneeka Woodard (John) and Melissa Powe (Keith Evans); one son, James Powe (Runiquea Ashley); a host of grandchildren, Le'dacia Powe, Tael McKellar, Trinity Reddick, Zoe Brown, Felecia Locke, Aundrea Ashly, Che Williams; one (1) great-grandchild, Kamari Adams. He also leaves to cherish: two (2) sisters-in-law, Clayre Powe and Iris Powe; a cherished uncle, Leo (Dorothy) Powe of Silas, Alabama; aunt, Ruby Philon of Silas, Alabama; Georgia Mae Powe of Silas, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual children, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by four (4) brothers, Ronnie Powe, Cecil Powe, Ray Charles Powe, and Lorenzo Powe; four (4) sisters, Beulah Tolliver, Voncile Rodgers, Nora Hampton, and Julie Whigham (James Whigham); one (1) sister-in-law, Louvenia Powe.
