Obituary

Funeral Service for Keaford Lamar Maye was held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church, 979 Sandy Cut Road, Butler, Alabama.  Pastor Jarman Leatherwood, Eulogist.  Rev. Aquilla Pack, Pastor. Interment, Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Butler, Alabama.

Keaford Lamar Maye was born on August 18, 1975, in Butler, Alabama to T.L. Ray and Leslie Jean Maye.

He was a graduate of the Class of 1994, Choctaw County High School in Butler, Alabama.

He was a member at House of Hope and Restoration Church in Huntsville, Alabama where he was a dedicated member of the Usher Board.

Keaford was preceded in death by his parents: T.L. Ray and Leslie Jean Maye; grandparents: Leslie Maye, Helen May, and Leotis Ray; nephew: Martavean McIntosh.

He departed his life on March 20, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.

Keaford is survived by his sister: Felicia (Marco) McIntosh; brother: Michael Maye (Brittany); aunt: Rebecca Maye; nephews: Malik and Amari McIntosh; nieces: Mariah and Mykia Maye; life-long partner: Sabrina McDonald.   Keaford was a father-figure to Aliyiah McDonald (Xzavier) and Kordarrius (Tacara) McDonald.  He was PawPawto Tyonne and Alexander Clark.  Keaford also leaves a host of cousins and friends.
