Funeral Services for Johnny Wallace, 81, were held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Lavaca Community Church, 90 White Oak Road, Butler, AL with Pastor Billy Baylor, Officiating. Interment, Red House Memorial Gardens, Lavaca, AL.
Johnny Wallace was born to the union of Dorcas Rainey and Connie Wallace on December 22, 1942. He exchanged this life for eternity on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Baptist Hospice/Capitol Hill Healthcare in Montgomery, AL, joining loved ones gone on before, as he transitioned to his eternal reward.
Johnny was well loved by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loraine Wallace; five brothers, Henry Wallace, Sr. (Dillie Mae Horn), Horace Wallace, Benny (Dorothy) Wallace, Reverend Peter (Rosie) Wallace, Jesse (Joyce) Wallace, and Eddie (Minnie C) Wallace; two sisters, Selma Wallace and Annie Lee Wallace.
He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy: two sons, Shaffinie (Ataya) Wallace of Montgomery, AL and Eddie (Teresa) Johnson of Elyria, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Tearris, Xavier, Aaron, Brandon, Kyra, Stevie J., Devin, and Donavin; one great-grandson; one brother, Frank (Betty) Wallace of Butler, AL; two brothers-in-law, Bobby (Mary) Ridgeway of Lavaca, AL, Wiley Johnson of Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Bernice (Edward) Henley of Lavaca, AL, Patricia (Eddie) Chess of Lavaca, AL and Gladys Ridgeway of Meridian, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
