Graveside Service for Johnnie Mae Collins Drake, age 75, was held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Fairfield CME Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Taylor Officiating.

Johnnie was born December 23, 1945 to Walker and Viola Collins in Halsell, AL. She departed this earthly life on March 3, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Viola Johnson, Walker Collins; stepfather, Selson Johnson; two brothers, James and Agee Collins; sister, Emogene Collins; mother- and father-in-law, Pastor Lucille Drake & Tommie Drake, Sr.; brother-in-law, Thomas Wilson; and sister-in-law, Ethel White.

Sister Johnnie confessed Christ at an early age and joined Fairfield CME Church where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She was employed with Moldwood Incorporated for fifteen years and with Rush Foundation Hospital for twenty-six years.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband of 52 years, Eugene Drake, Sr., Lisman, AL; five daughters, Janice Thompson, Lisman, AL, Gwendolyn (Charles) Horn, Birmingham, AL, Emma (Randy Hill) Collins, McCalla, AL, Carolyn and Cassandra, both of Lisman, AL; two sons, Tony and Eugene Drake, Jr. both of Lisman, AL; a granddaughter she raised as her own, Bettina Collins, Lisman, AL; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three grand dogs; five sisters, Barnette Collins, Helen Walters, Jessie M. Johnson, Susie Hampton, Betty Nash; one step sister, Mary Mason; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Collin, Betty Thompson; one brother-in-law, Tommy Drake, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
