Service for John Ray Webb,
age 71, was held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel
of Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Funeral Home in Butler with Rev. Willie J. Vines
officiating.

John Webb, affectionately known as BuBu, was born on May 12, 1950 to the late William Earl Compton and Jet Lee Landrum. He bid farewell to this earthly life on Friday, November 5, 2021 at DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Compton and Jet Lee Landrum and his sister, Barbara Jean Gibson.

John was a member of Independent Baptist Church in Sweet Water, AL.  After thirty-eight years of employment, he retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation in Pennington, AL. He also served in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Minnie Kennedy of Birmingham, AL; two sons, Kenneth (Susie) Webb and Rodney (Cassady) Pritchett, both of Sweet Water, AL; six grandchildren, Gelease Kennedy, Deanna Lewis, Kenterra Webb, Kentavian Webb, Simone McIntosh and Tayia McIntosh; four sisters, Izola (Rev. Willie J.) Vines,of Pennington, AL, Sandra Faye Webb of Detroit, MI, Arlisa Williams of Atlanta,
GA and Earlean Hall of Oklahoma; four devoted friends, Tracy (Hazel and Travis)
Ford, Dunk Steele, Lawrence Adams, Jr. and Angela McGrew; and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
