A Memorial Service for John Wesley Dunn, age 68, was held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Butler CivicCenter at 2:00pm.

John Wesley Dunn (J.W.) was born May 3, 1952 to Clara Elena Dunn Ward in Pennington, Alabama. He departed this earthly life on April 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary and Sherry Duff; a brother, Coleman White; and two sisters, Evelyn Dunn Colley and Mildred Dunn.

In 1981, John. was united in matrimony to Mary Larkin. In 2008, he married Sherry Washington Duff and her children.

John was never a religious
person but he had a fear of God. He
respected those that were religiously inclined. He loved nature and learned to live off the land. But what brought him the most joy was his sons, DJ (David) and O'Bryan (Bryson) McSwain.

John is survived by his sons, David and O'Bryan McSwain, Raymond Duff, Jr.; his daughters, Mary O'Field, Rhonda Duff, Michelle Duff, Christine (David) McSwain; his mother, Clara Elena Dunn Ward; his brother, Jeremiah (Beverly) White; his sisters, Wanda Ward Chess, Anita Dunn, Angela Ward and Bennie Lee Ward; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
