John Earl Dees was born on October 26, 1957, to the late John F. May and Frankie B. Dees.He is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Roy Dees.

Johnentered into eternal rest on August 7, 2023, at his home.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: son, Darry (Mariah) Doss of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; grandchildren, Khi Doss and Kacen Doss; a very special friend, Marion Mitchell of Sweetwater, Alabama; 2 brothers, James Thomas (Bianca) of Whynot, Mississippi; Tommie Dees (Keisha) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 4 aunts, Mary Lee Artis(like a second mother), Mary Ann Dees, Gracie Gordon, and Maggie Dees; a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
