Service for Joe Lee Ruffin, Jr., age 66, was held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Weatherly Studdard Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. A.C. Ruffin officiating.

Joe Lee Ruffin, Jr. was born to the late Ruth Carey Ruffin and late Joe Ruffin on June 22, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama. He departed this earthly life on October 25,
2021.

Joe attended Vigor High School; he later moved to Detroit Michigan and landed
a job at Chrysler. In February 1978, he married his love, Merdish Ruffin, and from
this union they had one daughter, Rae-Shawn Nicole Ruffin.

Joe and family relocated to Decatur, Georgia in June 1978, where he became a certified diesel mechanic and worked for
Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) for 11 years. He later moved to Choctaw County and received his CDL license and followed his father's
footsteps and drove commercial trucks over the road for several years.

Joe leaves many precious memories to be celebrated by his three children, Dywin Denson (Denese), Mobile AL, Rae-Shawn Nicole Ruffin, Atlanta, GA, Jamarcus Ruffin, Meridian, MS; ten grandchildren; seven sisters, Maggie Ruffin, Lisman, AL, Late Mary Kelly (Darryl) Inkster, MI, Carolyn Ruffin, Mobile, AL, Linda Ruffin, Irvine, CA,
Bernice Ruffins-Woods (Steven), Lisman, AL, Yvonne Ruffin, Pensacola, FL, Leola
Ruffin-Albert, Stonecrest, GA; four brothers, AC Ruffin, Mobile, AL, Willie Ruffin (Rose), Meridian, MS, Robert Ruffin (Elin) Faroe Islands, Joe Tucker (Jennifer) Mobile, AL; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends
