On December 12, 1965, Willie B. Deloach and Simme Harris welcomed an angel, Joanna, to the world in Yantley, Alabama.  She departed this earthly life on June 12, 2024.

Joanna remained in Yantley until she married her high school sweetheart, Darrin M. Rodgers.  Now, residing in Butler, Alabama, Darrin and Joanna welcomed two beautiful children, Damiano C. Rodgers and Deneila C. Rodgers.  She was a 1984 graduate of Choctaw County High School, Butler, Alabama.

Joanna was employed with Rush Medical Group since 1999, which later became Ochsner Choctaw General.  She had a great work ethic from being a wife, mom, and taking care of family and friends.  Outside of work she graced us with many talents, such as: from acting (LeeLee), to her passion for arts and crafts, and event planning.  She would be mostly remembered for lighting up any room with her 'million-dollar smile'.  Joanna was a faithful member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Joanna was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. Deloach and Simme Harris; one sister, Nola B. McGrew; her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Ruby Rodgers; brother-in-law, Kenneth Rodgers.

Joanna leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Darrin M. Rodgers; two children, Damiano (Timeka) Rodgers and Deneila Rodgers; four grandchildren, Damiano C. Rodgers, Jr., Laniah M. Rodgers, Brevon Guin, Zane Mcleod; two Godchildren, Jikayla Mosley and Jamarcus Mosley; brother, Rev. Vernon (Allison) McGrew; sisters, Sally (Jimmy) Johnson, Eliza Ann Dixon, Marie Hunter, Betty (Homer) Taylor; brothers-in-law, John (Quietha) Rodgers and Jonathan Rodgers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
