Service for Janet Marie McLemore, age 69, was held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 12:00pm at St. John C.M.E. Church in Butler, AL with Rev. Bobby Singleton officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Janet Marie McLemore was born to the union of Frank Wesley Tyson and Charlie Mae Jackson Tyson on April 19, 1952. She entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2022 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. Janet
was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny McLemore Sr.; daughter, Tometha R. Faulk; and father, Frank Wesley Tyson.

Janet's formative years were spent in the Mt. Sterling Community where she began school at age five and later graduated from East Choctaw High School in Butler, AL at the age of sixteen. She received a B.S. Degree and a Certification in History and Mental Retardation from Alabama State
University. She continued her education
at the University of Phoenix. She was a well-known educator for thirty-six in Choctaw County Schools, Lowndes County Schools, Conecuh County Schools, and Wilcox County Schools.

Janet was joined in Holy Matrimony to Johnny McLemore, Sr. for 41 years and to this union two sons were born. In 1972, she married Homer Larry Faulk of Montgomery, AL and to this union, one daughter was born.

Janet's memories will forever be cherished by: her sons, Johnny McLemore, Jr. of Montgomery, AL and Kevin McLemore of Clearwater, FL; her mother, Charlie Mae Tyson of Butler, AL; brother, Frank (Angelia) Tyson of Montgomery, AL; sisters, Glenco (Franklin) Howard and Pamela Tyson, both of Montgomery, AL; Kathy Davis and Ivnell Tyson, both of Butler, AL. She also leaves twelve aunts; two uncles; three sisters-in-law, one devoted, Jerry Ann McLemore of Montgomery, AL; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
