Jacqueline Annette Woodward was born March 13, 1961 to the  late Mark L. and Helen Rodgers Woodward. She was known to family and friends as"ANNETTE".

Jacqueline's religious training began at home with her parents instilling in her a love for God and her fellow man. She confessed Christ and joined Pine Grove A.M.E. Zion Church in Ward, AL under the leadership of Elder O. L. Thomas. She served her duties in the Missionary and Usher Board Department and was the Sunday School Secretary.

Jacqueline attended Choctaw County High School in Butter, AL and graduated May, 1979.  She furthered her education by attending Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL.

On June 11, 1997, Jacqueline Annette Woodward was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert H. Chaney.

On Friday evening, February 20, 2026 at 4:12 p.m. at Ochsner Rush Medical Center in Meridian, MS; Jacqueline, holding her daughter's hands, received her wings and transitioned from her earthly home to her new heavenly address where God has laid up for her a crown of righteousness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark L. and Helen Rodgers Woodward, sister, Barbara Ann Ward; brother, Joseph Edward Woodward; and nephews, Edward Antonio Woodward and Marion (WEE) Woodward.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted husband, Robert H. Chaney of Ward, AL; one daughter, Barbara T. (NeNe) Woodward of Ward, AL; two sons, Kendrick Woodward of Birmingham, AL and Tobias (Lauren) Woodward of Marshall, TX; ten grandchildren, Christina Anderson, Lylah Humphrey, Nia, Raven, Laiya, Tobias Jr, Alonzo and Lillian Woodward all of Marshall, TX and Amyra, Adarious and Arianna Woodward all of Ward, AL; one  sister, Mae Helen (Calvin, Sr.) Walker of Ward, AL; three brothers, Marion (Melissa) Woodard of Wilmington, DE; Mark L.(Angela) Woodward, Jr. of Montgomery, AL and Nathaniel Woodard of Ward, AL; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Woodward of Montgomery, AL and Diana Evans Woodard of York, AL; a brother-in-law, Billy Ward of Mobile, AL; one extended sister-in-law, Sadie Chaney of Jackson, AL; four extended brothers-in-law, Willie (Felicia) and Carl (Tracy) Chaney both of Pennington, AL and Mark and James Chaney both of Jackson, AL.; numerous nieces and nephews, (seven of whom she raised as her own) Fabian, Reginald, Melissa, Antoinette, Marion, Faith and Tina); special friends, Theresa Steele (play sister), Jessie May Dukes, Tequila Jemison Baskin and James Cornelius; numerous friends and a host of cousins, other relatives snd the Pine Grove community.
