Service for Deacon Henry Bolden, Jr., age 78, was held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Gilbertown, AL with Dr. Johnnie Heartfield officiating. Interment followed in Melvin Cemetery.

Henry Bolden, Jr. was born March 4, 1943 to Henry and Olivia Bolden in Meridian, MS. He departed this life on January 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Olivia Bolden; siblings, Calvin, Mary, Ledressa and Edressa (twins), Roosevelt, Lucille, Hattie, McKinley, Thomas, Roseann, and Ineze.

Henry was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, OH until his retirement in 2003. Upon retirement, he and his family relocated to Toxey, AL. Shortly after, he became a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, Sunday School teacher, and later as Chairman of the Deacon Board.

Left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Lois; sons, Donald Keith and Henry III, Akron, OH; grandchildren, Grayson Bolden, India Watson, Asia (Lovell) Boyd, Keith, Finland (Tanisha) Bolden, Sara Marie, Donovan, Trenton (Kyler), Chalon Bolden, Yadiska Bolden; sixteen great grandchildren; sibling, Edell Pearson; four daughters-in-law; sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church family.
