The Celebration of Life
Service for Bro. Gredis "Pam" Thornton, age 71, was held Sunday, August 14,
2022 at Shady Grove Community Park in Silas, AL with Prophet Cornelius Causey
officiating. Interment followed in Oak
Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Toxey, AL.

Bro. Gredis Thornton was
born on February 16, 1951 to the union of Tommie and Lennie Thornton. He departed this life on August 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47
years, Mary Boone-Thornton; his parents; a son, Grady Boone; a grandson,
Terrance Boone; two goddaughters, Laura Sumilin and Latia Tucker; two sisters,
Elizabeth Thornton and Bernice Thornton; five brothers, Robert, Curtis,
Charlie, Connie Lee, and Will Tom Thornton.

On July 11, 2022, he
accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He leaves to cherish his
memories: three children, Tommie Lucas of Toxey, AL, Tara Adams of Thomasville,
AL and Alden Pickens of Toxey, AL; a goddaughter, Christine Williams; four
grandchildren, Bionca Boone, Lareginald Clark, Tammara (DeMarco) Howard; and
James Johnson; six great grandchildren, Kyrie Clark, DeMarco Jr., Madisyn Ward,
Kaleb Clark, Kaison Boone, and Alaysia Boone; one sister, Alene Thornton of
Toxey, AL; two brothers, Henry Thornton of Detroit, MI and Johnny Thornton of
Cleveland, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
