Service for Gladys Foster Thomas, age 74, was held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Walker CME Church Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Burroughs officiating.

Sister Gladys Thomas was born on February 9, 1948 to the late Willie James Foster and Mary Alice Foster. She was called home to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, English Office and Willie James Foster.

Gladys accepted Christ at an early age and joined Little Walker CME Church where she remained a faithful member until her death. She was a graduate of East Choctaw High School. She was employed at Vanity Fair Mills for thirteen years. She later gained employment with Georgia Pacific Corporation where she worked until retiring after thirty-one years of dedicated service.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband of fifty-five years, Lee Everett Thomas, Butler, AL; one son, Lawrence (Janie) Thomas, Greenville, AL, ; two grandchildren, Sophia Blakley and Latrell Thomas; one great grandson, JaMarieon Reed; five sisters, Bernice Cherry, Lucille Ray, Linda Keeton, all of Butler, AL, Mary Foster, Tuscaloosa, AL, Vanessa (Les) Balfour, Atlanta, GA; one brother, Larry J. Foster, Atlanta, GA; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Office, Butler, AL, Dorothy Foster, Marion Junction, AL, Margaret Thomas, Butler, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and former co-workers.
