The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Franklin Johnson, age 78, was held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 12:00pm at the Church of God Deliverance in Cullomburg, AL with Bishop Willie Roberts officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Franklin was born May 30, 1944 to the late Cora and George Johnson in Koenton, AL. He departed this earthly life on November 8, 2022 at Washington County Hospital in Chatom, AL. He was preceded in death by a son, Trevar Johnson and a grandson, Rodriquez Johnson.

He attended school in Koenton and during his years of employment, he was a sawmill worker. He was joined in Holy matrimony to Betty Kirksey in 1965 and to this union eleven children were born.

Franklin was a member of the Church of God Deliverance until his health failed him. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Betty Johnson; ten children, Willie (Bridgett) Kirksey, Gulfport, MS, Cheryl Johnson, Mobile, AL, Bobby Johnson, Shubuta, MS, Pamela Johnson, McDonough, GA, Stacey (Tywanda) Johnson, Shubuta, MS, Franklin Johnson Jr., Miami, FL, Melissa Scruggs, Eight Mile, AL, Tiffany Johnson, Saraland, AL, Anthony Johnson, McDonough, GA, Jermaine (Phyllis) Johnson, Birmingham, AL; twenty-three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Authur Johnson,, Huntsville, AL , Melvin Bell, Chagrin, OH; and three sisters, Betty Philon, Gary, IN, Annie Pearl Turner, Chatom, AL, Erra Mae Jones, Mobile, AL.
