A Memorial Service honoring Ethel M. Fitch was held at 11:00am at Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church, 7171 Highway 10, Lisman, Alabama 36912 with Rev. Ecclesiastes Goodwin, Sr., Officiating.

The beautiful Ethel Mae Fitch was born on January 7, 1954, to the late Lizzie and Tommie Fitch in Cromwell, Alabama.  Ethel was the youngest of seven children and was affectionately known as "Baby Sister".

She attended the Choctaw County Training School for her grade school education and later entered the workforce.  At a very young age, she received Christ as her personal savior and joined Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Jachin, Alabama.  She was employed with Vanity Fair and Georgia Pacific as an adult.  Through the years, Ethel wore many hats and had many talents; she was a talented songstress with a mesmerizing tenor voice, a community soul food chef, an adventurous and comedic friend, and a well of wisdom.

Etheentered into eternal rest on December 16, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lizzie and Tommie Fitch and her brothers, Tommie Fitch Jr., Charlie Ed Fitch , John Edward Fitch, Willie Lewis Fitch, and James Franklin Fitch.

Her unforgettable memory will forever be cherished by her children: Maurice (Tonja) Fitch, Myshia (Gary Sr.) Grogan, and Thomas (Showi) Fitch; her sister, Cora Williams; her loving partner, Donzie Horn; her grandchildren, Maurice J. Fitch, Jacelyn (Malcolm) Gross, Gary Grogan Jr., Meenah Grogan; her six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
