Funeral Service for Brother Eric Darrell Keeton was held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Walker C.M.E. Church, 220 Linder Road, Butler, Alabama. Interment, Little Walker C.M.E. Church Cemetery.  Rev. Dr. Dale C. Braxton, Sr., Eulogist.  Rev. Dr. Curtis L. Russell, Sr., Pastor.

Eric Darrell Keeton, age 41, was born April 14, 1984, in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Leon Keeton and his mother, Linda F. Keeton.  Eric peacefully departed this earthly life on Friday, September 5, 2025, at his residence in Butler, Alabama.

Eric accepted Christ early in life and joined Little Walker C.M.E. Church.

Eric was a proud graduate of Choctaw County High School, Class of 2002.  He later pursued higher education at Alabama State University and Clark Atlanta University.  Eric was employed at UAB Hospital until his health began to decline.  Eric will be remembered as a compassionate, loving, and kind-hearted person, whose presence brought joy to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Keeton; his maternal grandparents, Willie and Mary Alice Foster; his paternal grandparents, Aaron and Lorene Keeton.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Linda F. Keeton; his devoted brothers, Cedric Keeton, Brandon Keeton of Houston, Texas; a devoted sister, Makenzie Keeton; Chris Keeton, who was just like his brother.  His beloved children: daughter, Aubrie Bates of Birmingham, Alabama; twin sons, Elijah and Isaiah Keeton of Decatur, Georgia; his god-sister, Ashley (Christopher) Hampton of Madison, Mississippi; his second mother away from home, Vanessa Balfour of Decatur, Georgia; his god-mother, Mary Ann Foster of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; adopted sister and brother, Jamir and Trinity Balfour; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Eric's life was a gift, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who loved him.
