Graveside Service for Earnest E. Jackson, age 79, was held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00pm at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ in Toxey, AL with Rev. Evan Dees officiating.

Earnest was born on March 26, 1943 to Ellis and Ocavia Jackson. He departed this earthly life on September 10, 2022.

Earnest was a hardworking man which he proved during his 30-year employment with General Motors in Detroit, MI. After retiring from GM, he returned home to Toxey, AL where he enjoyed being outdoors. His hobbies included gardening, building, and listening to blues.

Earnest leaves to cherish his memories: six children, Daniel Thompson, Gwendolyn Douglas, Gwarren Douglas IPID), Earnest Jackson, Jr., Michelle Meridith and Tiffany Jackson; brothers,William Jackson (PID), Franklin Jackson, Isaac Jackson, Willie Jackson, George
Jackson, (PID); sisters, Mallie Williams, Mary Rice, Carrie Dailey (PID), Rebecca Hart and Printella Houston (PID); nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
