Funeral Services for Mr. Dunk Steele, Jr. we're held Saturday, January 18, 2025 @ 11:00am at New Shalom Holiness Church in Sweetwater, AL with Bishop John  Sullivan III and Pastor Alphonso Bowen officiating. interment followed in Landrum Cemetery in Sweetwater, AL.

Dunk Steele, Jr. was born July7, 1957 to Mattie B. Gaines and Dunk Steele, Sr.  He entered eternal rest on January 7, 2025 at Anderson Baptist Hospital in Meridian, MS.

Dunk Jr. worked as a woodsman for several years.  He was fortunate to be able to operate any equipment that was sent his way. He was a operator for Horn Logging & a member of the South Marengo Rescue Squad for several years.

Dunk leaves to cherish his memories one daughter,Kennetta Smith of Nanafalla, AL; one son, Jeffery Napier of Nanafalia, AL; three brothers, Jerry (Sally) Cowan of Butler.AL, William Steele of Atlanta, GA, Mike Dixon of Lisman, AL; two sisters, Pearl (Travis) Steele of Pennington, AL, Margaret Soles of Birmingham, AL,; one sister-in-law, Kallie Holt of Butler, AL; one brother in law, Charles Dixon of Sweet Water, Al; one granddaughter, Priscilla (Ronnle Jr.) Smith of Butler, AL; one grandson, La'Jeffery Napier of Tuscaloosa, AL; two great-grandsons, Jermane Mckeller, Damane Mckeller,; one great grandaughter, Rayne McKeller, all of Bitler, AL, and a host of other family and friends.
