Funeral Service for Donnie (Doc) Barron was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's United Methodist Church, 23955 Highway 10, Butler, Alabama. Rev. Clovise Snowden, Pastor. Minister Kendarius Williams, Officiating. Interment, St. Mary's United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Donnie (Doc) Barron was born August 22, 1963, in Choctaw County, Alabama to the late Roosevelt and Marjorie Barron.
He confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Mary's United Methodist Church, Butler, Alabama.
Donnie (Doc) was known for his kindness, integrity, and his loving heart toward his family and friends. 'Doc' believed in the power of love. He had been confined to a wheelchair for 42 amazing years with his family right by his side. His gentle spirit touched everyone he knew. He will forever be remembered.
Donnie (Doc) departed this earthly life on June 6, 2026, at Ochsner Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Roosevelt and Marjorie Barron; his brother: Randall Barron.
He is survived by four sisters: Mechelle (Willard) Harris, Pushmataha, AL; Clemmie (Neil) Manior and Felicia (Terry) Bryant of Pennington, AL; Sheria Barron, Butler, AL; three brothers: Danzie Barron, Gary, IN; Franklin Barron and Ronnie (Sharon) Barron of Butler, AL; bonus sister-in-love: Cathy Barron, Nanafalia, AL; bonus daughters: Brittney Marzette, Courtney Barron, Kia Bryant, Tamajorie Bryant, Jaylen Barron, Nylen Thomas, Twila Graves, and Shakera Drummond; god-daughters: Contyra (John) Westbrook, Maya Carter; bonus sisters: Anito (Ed) Knighton, Butler, AL; Veronica Grissom, Calera, AL; Tora Williams, Warren, MI; Vernette Blanks, Ward, AL; Gladys Bishop, Lisman, AL; Tammy Williams, Pennington, AL; Cynthia Hampton, Butler, AL; bonus brothers: Ledell (Jenette) Deloach, James Deloach and Jessie Johnson, all of Butler, AL; Martin (Pam) Thompson, Raleigh, NC; Steve Crowell, Oklahoma City, OK; Johnny Glover, MS; Johnny Grice, Lisman, AL; Dennis Bishop, Lisman, AL; Cory Cole, Butler, AL; Hon. Tony Cherry, Pennington, AL; his boys: Celdrick (Bud) Manior, Adrian Lockett, Ronnie (LB) Barron, Steven Turner, Thomas Whitted, Jr., Brandon (BK) Keeton, Johanta Chaney, Chad Blakley, Jamel Blakley, Joe Barron, Jr., Fred Spencer, and Jordon Knighton; his babies: Trindon Manior, Caiden Terrell, Pharrah Marzette, Charlie Graves, Kyanie Brown, and Jaiere Brown; very special friends: Coach Arvell (Vrita) Delaine and High Inergy Social Club; along with a host of other family members, friends and neighbors, who loved him dearly.
