Don R. Pope was born September 24, 1962, in Butler, Alabama to the late Willie and Willie Mae Crumbley. He departed this earthly life on December 17, 2025.

He was a member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Willie Mae Crumbley; brothers: Johnny Pope, Bobby Vance, and Julius Pope; sisters: Mary Napier and Geraldine Tharps.

Don is survived by his loving wife: Linda Pope; brothers, George Pope (Michelle) and Frank Pope; sisters: Clara Johnson and Barbara (William) Johnson; one brother-in-law: Melvin Tharps; one sister-in-law: Annette Pope; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
