Graveside service for Cora M. Brown, age 78, was held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Kaiser Hill Cemetery in Melvin, AL with Rev. Cleo McGrew officiating.

Cora was born to the late Maglous T. Wallace and Annie Mae Wallace on October 11, 1942, the eldest of four children. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Choctaw Health and Rehab in Butler, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Louis Brown; brother, Charles Wallace; sister, Grace Wallace; and parents, Annie Mae and Maglous T. Wallace.

Cora graduated from high school in Melvin, AL and went on to become a healthcare aid. She spent most of her life working and caring
for others, inside and outside of healthcare facilities. She also held and maintained positions in various social and community clubs throughout her lifetime. She was a loving, devoted, and proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving son, Joseph S. Brown; a son she raised as her own, David Edwards; ten grandchildren, Damien Johnson, Shannon Brown, Orlandros Hodges, Tyrece Brown, Josiah Brown, Jackson Brown, Shawna Brow, Sophia Abrams, Staur Brown, Emonie Favorite; three great grandchildren, Ava Johnson, Lilyana Bonner, infinity Hodges; one sister, Ethel (B.H.) Moss; and a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
