Funeral Service for Christopher Dewaine Pearson, age 50, was held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Toxey, AL with Rev. Kennedy R. Gray officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Christopher was born on March 17, 1973 to Willie C. Pearson and Helen Nicholson Pearson in Needham, AL and he transcended from his earthly vessel to his heavenly home on June 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie C. Pearson; his grandparents, Leemore & Annie Pearson and Elnora Nicholson; his aunts, Brenda Nicholson Tucker and Annie Marie Tooley and his uncle, Bruce J. Pearson.
Christopher was educated in the Southern Choctaw County School System in Gilbertown, AL. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Oak Grove Baptist Church in Melvin AL where he was a faithful member. He united in Holy Matrimony to Kenyatta McRae and to this union, two children were born. During his lifetime, he worked at Swaco, Ingrid Offshore, Rowan Companies and Georgia Pacific. He loved his family and took pleasure in providing for his mom and his children. He enjoyed car detailing, cooking and grilling, spending time with his grandkids and assembling toys for them. He had an admiration for unique muscle automobiles, especially Dodges. He was a huge fan of the Auburn Tigers and was always cheering his favorite team on in all their games.
He leaves to cherish his love and legacy: his children, Jelisa Pearson, Keaunce Rankin and Natalie Pearson; his grandkids, Lathan Roberts and Noa Pearson; his loving mother, Helen Nicholson Pearson; his brother, Reginald Pearson, Sr.; his sister -in -law, Amaryllis Pearson; his nieces, Star Pearson, and Kirsten Pearson; his nephews, Reginald Pearson, Jr., and Christian Pearson; his aunts, Carolyn Goines, Linda A. Monterio, Deborah A. Reed. Lenora A. Pearson, Cheryl A. Murphy, and Sandra L. Pearson; his uncles, Jimmy Nicholson and Gregory Pearson; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
