Celebration of Life Service for Christine Banks were held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, 2975 Tuscahoma Road, Butler, Alabama 36904 at 12p.m. with Rev. Dewayne Gavin, Officiating.  Rev. Wendell Charleston, Pastor.  Interment, Fairview Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Butler, Alabama.

Sis. Christine Banks was born December 21, 1947.  She was called home to walk with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024.

Christine was born to the late Grant and Dora Brown, who preceded her in death.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Butler, Alabama.

The memory of Christine's "Tine" life will be forever cherished by her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Medell Banks, Sr.; three sisters, Hattie Winston, Melissa Winston, and Carrie Eddie; two brothers, Wilson Brown and Charlie Brown, Sr.

Christine, the mother of five, is survived by two daughters: Myra Tuck (Keith, Sr.) and Christie Banks; three sons, Vincent (Linda) Banks, Medell Banks, Jr. (Kim), and LaDarrell Banks; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren.  She is also survived by four sisters: Pearlie Winston, Hampton, Virginia; Hannah Jenkins, Butler, Alabama; Anna Turner, Detroit, Michigan; Ola Cunningham, Hampton, Virginia; two brothers, Grant Brown, Jr., Detroit, Michigan; Michael Williams, Butler, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
