Service for Calloway Rackley, age 80, was held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at Butler Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev.
Kennith Jefferson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Calloway was born on May 5, 1941 to the late Abe Rackley, Sr. and Loise Rackley in Butler, AL. He made a peaceful transition to rest on October 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Louise Rackley; sisters,
Earleana Rackley, Nettie Rackley, Essie M. Chaney, Barbara J. Rackley; and brothers, Abe Rackley, Jr. and John Earl "Shields" Rackley.

Calloway joined Butler Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age and remained a member until he took his eternal rest. He was employed with the City of Butler for 30 years until the time of his retirement.

Calloway leaves to cherish his precious memories: wife, Irene G. Rackley, Butler, AL; daughter, Remona (Wayne) Johnson, Butler, AL; sons, Curtis Rackley , Mobile, AL and Devon Rackley, Butler, AL; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; a brother, Willie James (Willie Jewel) Rackley, Butler, AL; sisters, Ruth Rackley, Bessie (Dandy) Brown, Judy R. Eddie, all of Butler, AL; devoted niece, Thorise Cunningham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
